    Frequently Asked Questions

Expert engineering insights into selecting the right bag making machine by structure, bottom fold, handles, and material compatibility.

What is the difference between non-crease sheet-fed bags and standard roll-fed SOS paper bags?
Non-crease sheet-fed paper bags are produced by the Great 4.0 from flat pre-printed cardboard sheets (up to 300 GSM) without any central or transverse creasing lines, featuring automatic rope threading specifically for luxury retail and cosmetics. Standard roll-fed SOS bags are continuous roll-converted at speeds up to 280 to 600 bags/min, optimized for high-volume grocery, bakery, and takeaway packaging.
Can nonwoven box bag making machines process insulated materials for food takeaway?
Yes. OYANG fully automatic nonwoven box bag machines (such as OYANG 16S, 18, and TECH 23) can handle multi-layer laminated materials, including PP spunbond laminated with aluminum foil and EPE foam padding. The servo-driven ultrasonic welding units provide hermetic bottom and side seams for hot and cold food delivery.
How does a flat-bottom pouch differ from a quad-seal pouch in flexible packaging?
A flat-bottom pouch (8-side seal / box pouch produced on the OYANG 650QSB) features an entirely flat rectangular base created from separate web feeds, allowing completely upright shelf stability and 5 display printable panels. A quad-seal pouch seals all four vertical corners but retains a folded gusset bottom, which is standard for pet food and bulk dry goods.
How fast can size changeovers be performed across different bag formats on OYANG machines?
On high-flexibility roll-fed lines like the TECH 18 paper bag machine, motorized auto-size changeover is achieved in under 2 minutes through the digital HMI touch screen. On nonwoven lines such as the TECH 23, servo-driven automatic mold repositioning takes only 90 seconds, replacing 4 to 6 hours of manual mechanical adjustments.
